Giselle is a full-length Romantic-era ballet that tells the tragic story of a peasant girl who dies of a broken heart and returns as a spirit (a Wili) to haunt and ultimately forgive the man who betrayed her. This production is staged at the historic Palais Theatre in Saint Kilda and showcases the work’s famous pas de deux, ensemble Wilis choreography, and dramatic, narrative-driven dancing that have made it a staple of the classical repertoire.
