Wicked is the touring production of the Broadway musical that reimagines the origins of the witches from The Wizard of Oz, centered on the friendship and rivalry between Elphaba and Glinda. The North American tour brings Stephen Schwartz’s score and Winnie Holzman’s book to the Boston Opera House, delivering the large-scale sets, costumes, and hit songs such as “Defying Gravity.” The production is notable for its spectacle and long-running popularity as a mainstream theatre phenomenon.
