Michael Melville, known as "Charlie Xavier," made the journey from Georgetown, Guyana, to Toronto, Ontario, in 1998. Since then, he has earned a bachelor's degree with honors in Jazz Theory and Performance from York University and graduated cum laude with a diploma in Audio Engineering & Production Arts from the Trebas Institute in Toronto. Throughout his career, he has toured both the U.S. and Ontario with the renowned Toronto All Star Big Band and collaborated with esteemed artists and musicians such as Jackie Richardson, Ben Portsmouth, and Drew Jurecka. As the recipient of the prestigious Oscar Peterson Scholarship from York University, he now directs his efforts toward realizing his full potential as a musician, composer, and audio engineer.
