    About this event

The 2023 Fall Gala of the New York City Ballet is set to commemorate a momentous occasion in the Company's history—their 75th Anniversary. The Gala highlights two timeless creations from the Company's visionary founding choreographers, George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins, as well as the world of fashion and the vibrant city of New York. The performance begins with glimpses of Balanchine's "Who Cares?"—enlivened by the radiant melodies of Gershwin, performed by exceptional guest musicians. This segment introduces sultry and romantic duets adorned in fresh costume designs by Wes Gordon from Carolina Herrera. The evening culminates with Jerome Robbins' exhilarating "Glass Pieces," concluding this exclusive program by brilliantly capturing the vibrant pulse of metropolitan life through its electrifying choreography.

The festivities begin at 5:30 PM with a cocktail reception, followed by the eagerly awaited performance at 7 PM. The evening culminates in an elegant affair featuring dinner and dancing on the Theater's Promenade.
