Every autumn, Morningside Lights casts a glow on the night with a captivating parade of meticulously crafted lanterns. This year's event, titled "The Open Book," celebrates the profound impact of books that inspire, enlighten, and shape our worldview. As nightfall approaches on Saturday, September 30, you can witness over 50 lanterns, handmade by the community, portraying literary masterpieces.

The parade will commence its journey from Morningside Park, starting at the intersection of 116th Street and Morningside Avenue at 8 PM. It will make its way towards the Columbia University campus, which houses the splendid Butler Library. Expect the procession to arrive on campus at approximately 8:45 PM.
