Dam tot Damloop is an annual road running event that links Amsterdam and Zaandam in North Holland, centered on a flagship 10-mile (approximately 16.1 km) race. Held each September, it attracts both elite competitors and large numbers of recreational runners to a mostly flat, fast course between the two cities and is regarded as one of the Netherlands’ major mass-participation road races.
